11. solid drawing

 

 

Soild drawings need someone who understand 3dimentional shapes, anatomy, weight, light and shadows, balance, ect.

It’s said that characters that are too symmetrical are boring. Have some variation between left and right side. You want the character to seem natural. You can’t just have them stand there with both arms to the said and legs straight  and pressed together. Not often do people stand like that—try to shift their weight to on leg, have the other slightly angled, put one hand on their hips and the other can dangle. It’s more interesting and realistic!

the left is very plain, she's just standing there, on the right we have her more shyly posing. Even if the face didn't change.

See, body language means a lot! haha...
