Who is being effected by this?

Simple. Any and everyone who is sharing anything online. If you have any account on any site you could be effected by this. Most teens don't understand what they should and should not share, however. They think it's safe to share their phone numbers on facebook in order to get texts from people, but they also do not want to bother with all the settings (including privacy settings) of the site and put themselves at risk.

Some adults also do not know better and often find their selves caught up in identity theft or being hacked due to being uneducated in this field, this also applies to elderly people.

Children also, young children don't know any better and answer questions without thinking twice. This is why parents should keep track of what their young children do on the internet.
