When did this issue even begin?

Since the spark of social media set a blaze. Since people thought it was a good idea to interact with people online.  The fist social site started up in 1994. However it wasn’t until around 1990 did these become more and more popular due to being able to ‘find friends’ in a search bar or menu.

By 2005 the social networking site ‘Myspace’ was reportedly getting more page views than Google. Now the biggest networking site is facebook, that was launched in 2004, is the leader of the problem. One should only add people they know in real life to their friend lists because now there are many internet threats about on this very popular social network.
